1. I re-package and released the UniBurma V2 at download section. The reason is that I found a community and more people who can help me out on conversion. I feel like, now I was not alone and somebody can help me out for what I might not manage to support. So, I re-released it again for all platforms. Basically, you may assume as designer point, such as I open a topic for burmese face size discussion, web printing such as UniBurma_Web, etc.. I also setup uniburma.blogspot.com for blogger.com testing purpose. And there is also discussion thread for GNU/Linux package distribution. At the same time with UniBurma V2 release, I propose an open document about Prince Ka Naung Convert engine, logic, state, design, features and approaches to MMGeeks devnet.

NLP team released Myanmar2 for opentype, a milestone version for Myanmar - Burmese Unicode. Technically, this implementation is aligning with the Padauk2 for graphite.
Actually, a few rules have been dropped and less implementation since proposed to add 7 essential linguistics characters into BMP.

Security Consideration Reports

Padauk 2 for Graphite is released by Martin Hosken, on 2006-06-18 under OFL.
This release include milestone Unicode Myanmar Extension for Burmese, Sgaw Karen and Mon. It is good that Padauk continues to be developed. Here are some quotes:

Padauk conforms to the proposed extensions in anticipation of their being accepted into the Unicode standard.
Padauk supports the Myanmar script extensions including changes to how Burmese is encoded, Sgaw Karen and Mon. Padauk continues to be developed so should you find problems with the font, please send feedback.

UniMM has its domain name called www.unimm.org. It will point to this sourceforge site. Anyway, i'm afraid i still couldn't release UniMM till now yet. But UniMM has unique progress movement under local drive and nightly snapshot on SVN trunk. Please mail me if you really want to qual the UniMM under Beta stage.

The testing file called Myanmar_health.htm is grabbed from Graphite Paduak package from SIL Graphite project. Which seem almost follow the TN#11 encoding sequence method input. Character picker also help on testing and troubleshooting.

Seven Additional Burmese Characters
On 2006-03-07, there is a working group proposed to add new seven characters to UCS. The following is the proposed document.

While favour to rendering, the complex work and difficulty of implementing font, i would agree this proposal as a UniMM-UniBurma project. Especially, ASAT(killer) and Tall AA. Using U+1039(as killer, 4.1) as a toggle is totally pain because it could happen to occur frequently in every Burmese writing. This effected a lot on font implementation. ASAT should have its codepoint as it does have its potential on writing regardless of rendering. There are another six cases and all would be helped on implementing Burmese font and the way of proper rendering, not only to computing(programming, rendering) but also for linguistical accept(grammar, the way we have taught). Current stable version 4.1 is perfect for less codepoint and rendering but UniMM couldn't go far yet! Implementing State Machine and Opentype Table is totally mess.. Though not documented on this proposal, i would support this proposal as among one of the Myanmar font implementors.
