If i were there around, I would like to attend and listen, btw. Anyway, here are some quotes from UnifiedTextLayoutEngine:

Because of differences in the layout engines operating “behind the scenes”, different software can exhibit differing levels of support for complex text layout (CTL) scripts like Arabic or Kannada. Some scripts, like Myanmar, are currently hardly supported at all in the majority of software on FLOSS systems today....

And the agenda point-out like:

Support for line breaking:
* Support for word/line breaking in non-spaced Southeast Asian scripts:
* Support for dictionary-based word segmentation algorithms (Thai, Khmer, Myanmar)

Hope, FLOSS community to come out one resolution to implement Burmese shape in natively ICU, Pango, QT, etc.

Actually, i'm being doubting to ask in list about this shape... Because UniMM do not have any dedicated Text Layout to test or develop. There are but AAT? OpenType? Graphite?

It drive me to learn text rendering field. So, i should start out :). So far, it's blindly shooting on ups10.dll OTL.
